Old Prussian Translator

A demo of strfry/eurollm-9b-prussian-tatoeba, a LoRA adapter on top of utter-project/EuroLLM-9B-Instruct-2512 that translates between Old Prussian (Palmaitis/Klussis reconstruction) and other languages.

  • Into Old Prussian — paste a sentence in any source language.
  • Out of Old Prussian — pick a target language.

Hardware

The app loads the 9B base in 4-bit (≈6 GB) and applies the adapter, so it fits a T4. Recommended: request ZeroGPU via a community hardware grant (or HF PRO). On the first request the full base model is downloaded and quantized — expect a slow cold start.

Run locally

pip install -r requirements.txt
python app.py
