I did a small coding benchmark on my local codebases on vanilla Qwen vs this and a few other Qwen merges: https://launchswitch.github.io/localvibebench/

Tldr nothing actually beats vanilla but this comes closer than other merges while being 30% more efficient.

That said, I don’t think the main purpose of this merge is coding. Its excellence is in chat, and its coding ability is more a reflection of its “iq” being preserved through the merge.

The Qwen3.6-27B-Architect-Polaris2-Fable-B-F451 and Qwen3.6-27B-Fable-Fusion-711 are the same thing, just a name change: on my repo I use a different naming convention

The Tess variant could be a better coder, it shows improvement in arc at low quants, and as you are testing with q4, that will show

BigBubba has a mouth on it, Nina did a great job with that merge. It's a fun quant.

You are right to point out that coding is a bonus, the focus is on conversation quality and general coherence in thinking. I saw a lot of thinking models that "don't have the words" to express a certain perplexing situation(Fable's GRRR's for example), which here are offered a rich variety of choices and personas.

The Gul Dukat theme was humour, of course, but shows the model can RP a bit beyond the standard Qwen.

I am still testing the Fara merge, it looks fine, but there are already so many 711 clones, it won't help the situation :)

I made a Fara merge with a subcomponent of The Defiant, another model that tops the charts now, and the metrics are pretty decent and should be a good coder(if Microsoft did their job)
